How to Apply for Financial Aid at Ventura College
Step 1: Submit Your Application
Complete either the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application online.
- FAFSA: Use school code 001334
- Dream Act: Use school code 00133400
Applications are processed year-round. After submission, it usually takes 7-10 business days for Ventura College to receive and process your application.
Step 2: Follow Up
Check your student email for a confirmation once your application is received.
Within two weeks, make sure to follow up with the Financial Aid office to ensure everything is in order.
Step 3: Check Your Status in MyVCCCD Portal
- Log in to your MyVCCCD student portal and check your Financial Aid Requirements for any additional documents needed.
- Submit any required documents to the Financial Aid office promptly to keep your application moving forward.
Step 4: Receive Your Award Notification
Once your application is reviewed (usually 2-3 weeks), you'll receive an email with your personalized financial aid package.
Step 5: Stay Updated
Regularly check your MyVCCCD portal for updates on your financial aid status.
